Now that that’s out of the way, I’m going to talk a little bit about myself.  The war has been such a difficult time. Like all of us, I’ve been struck to the core with the horrible terrorist attack on October 7th. I worry about my son who has been called in to the army. I worry about the hostages. I worry about antisemitism all over the world.

I’m so glad to have quilting.  It’s one of the things that has been keeping me sane through these trying times. I put music on my earphones and I am able to disconnect from the real world.

I’ve also been trying to help out soldiers by fixing some army clothing and vests. It’s good to be able to help.

There are people collecting quilts for our refugees from the south and the north of Israel.  If you would like to be involved, you can make quilts for Otef l’Otef. The person to be in touch with is Hadar 054-4771133.

Terry Mowszowski is also making and collecting quilts for” Operation Embrace”. She is also able to finish tops if you (whomever is making) provides us with the backing, batting (or she can provide that) ,and the prepared binding to finish for a nominal fee. עכשיו כשזה מאחורינו, אני הולכת לדבר קצת על עצמי. המלחמה היא תקופה כל כך קשה. כמו כולנו, נפגעתי עד היסוד עם מתקפת הטרור הנוראית ב-7 באוקטובר. אני דואגת לבן שלי שזומן למילואים. אני דואגת לבני הערובה. אני מודאגת מהאנטישמיות בכל העולם.

אני כל כך שמחה שיש לי טלאים. זה אחד הדברים שהשאירו אותי שפויה בזמנים קשים אלה. אני מפעילה מוזיקה על האוזניות שלי ואני מסוגלת להתנתק מהעולם האמיתי.

ניסיתי גם לעזור לחייל על ידי תיקון בגדים ואפודים של הצבא. אני שמחה על היכולת לעזור.

יש אנשים שאוספים שמיכות לפליטים שלנו מהדרום ומצפון ישראל. אם אתם רוצים להיות מעורבים, אתם יכולים להכין שמיכות עבור “עוטף לעוטף”. אשת הקשר היא הדר 054-4771133. נא לפנות להדר רק בוואטסאפ. היא מכינה שמיכות לסוף דצמבר. אם סיימתם שמיכות, תוכלו גם לשלוח לי אותן, ואני אעביר אותן אליה.
