This is very exciting! I love these exhibits. It is always amazing to see the incredible work of the Association members. This year the theme of the exhibit was “Alone”, and this year’s winner was Cindy Richard, with her entry “Caged”:

I can’t wait to see it in person! The opening of the exhibit is this Friday, December 31, at 10:30 am at the Jerusalem Theatre

The exhibit will be running from this Friday through February 14th. The exhibit will be open Sunday-Thursday 4:00 pm – 9:30 pm, Friday, from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm and Saturday night, from the end of Shabbat – 9:30 pm.

I hope to live stream the opening on Quilt Israel’s facebook page. If you can’t make it in person, join me virtually this Friday.

The hardest time for me this past year was when I had no idea when I would see my loved ones again. I finally understand how my dog feels every time I leave her on her own. Dogs do not have a concept of time and don’t know that the separation is only temporary. Especially after the first closure, I felt stir crazy and sad. It felt like it was never going to end. Pugsly’s face says it all.

If you are coming to the exhibit opening, stop by and say hi! If there’s anything that you’d like from the store, I’ll be happy to bring it with me. At check-out, select local pickup and write a note that you’ll be there, and I’ll make sure it’s ready for you.

I’m bringing prizes for the winners. I love giving presents, and I love what I picked out. I hope they do too!

התערוכה השנתית של האגודה הישראלית למעשה טלאים היא ביום שישי הקרוב!

זה מאוד מרגש! אני אוהבת את התערוכות האלה. אני תמיד נדהמת לראות את העבודה המדהימה של חברי העמותה. השנה נושא התערוכה היה “בדד”, והמנצחת השנה הייתה סינדי ריצ’רד, עם הערך שלה “כלוב”:

אני כל כך מחכה לראות את זה באופן אישי! פתיחת התערוכה תתרחש ביום שישי הקרוב, 31.12, בשעה 10:30 בתיאטרון ירושלים.

התערוכה תוצג מיום שישי עד ה-14 בפברואר. התערוכה תהיה פתוחה בימים א’-ה’ בין השעות 16:00-21:30, שישי, בין השעות 10:00-14:00 ובמוצאי שבת, ממוצאי שבת – 21:30.

התקופה הקשה ביותר עבורי בשנה שחלפה הייתה כשלא היה לי מושג מתי אראה שוב את אהוביי. אני סוף סוף מבינה איך הכלבה שלי, פגסלי, מרגישה בכל פעם שאני עוזבת אותה לבד. לכלבים אין מושג של זמן ואינם יודעים שהפרידה היא זמנית בלבד. חשתי עצב עמוק במיוחד אחרי הסגר הראשון. זה הרגיש כאילו הוא לעולם לא ייגמר. הפנים של פגסלי אומרות הכל.

אם אתם מגיעים לפתיחת התערוכה, עצרו ותגידו שלום! אם יש משהו שתרצו מהחנות, אשמח להביא אותו איתי. בצ’ק-אאוט, בחרו באופציית איסוף מקומי וכתבו פתק שתהיו שם, ואני אוודא שהוא מוכן עבורכם.
