Art Gallery Fabrics and 10″ squares

The next order of fabric is here! This time, I brought in Art Gallery Fabrics. Included in the order are Layer Cakes. What are Layer Cakes? They are 10″ squares of fabrics from a designer collection. They include between 40-42 different pieces of fabric, and they are so much fun to play with! Why do I like layer cakes?

• They provide plenty of fabric to make a whole quilt. Just one layer cake and some background fabric, and you have a twin size quilt.
• There is very little thinking involved. Because all the fabrics are from the same fabric line, they are built to go together. There is no need to worry about fabric matching.
• There are a ton of patterns out there specifically designed to use layer cakes.
